[Vine] vinelinux.org
vinelinux.org の多くのサーバは大学のネットワークに御厚意で置かせてもらっているのですが、月に1度くらい点検やネットワークの不調などでつながらなくなることがあります。今日もつながらなくなったようで、個人的に問い合わせなどをもらったりしました。結局は原因わからずですが、大学ネットワークあるいはSINETあたりでの routing がおかしなことになっていたからかなあと想像。
サーバ自体はuptimeは90日〜300日くらいで、意図せず止まった事はない(停電のときとか、たまに行うkernelupgradeの時とかのみで年2回くらい)のだけど、Webサーバが切れてしまうと状況の告知などができないのでどうしたものかなあと考えているところ。
updates は複数用意しているし mirror もあるのでまあいいとしても、web は切れないサービスをちゃんと使った方がいいかなあと思っています。とりあえずは static なコンテンツが大半なので将来的には web だけでもどこか借りようかというところ。(提供してくれるという素晴らしい企業がいたりするととってもうれしいですが。。)
