[Vine][Linux] Hibernation
Vine Linux の kernel には kernel-2.4 (Vine Linux 3.x) のころから Software Suspend 2 が仕込まれてる。Vine Linux 3.2 でもそれなりに software suspend (ハイバネーション/休止?) が出来るようにはなっているはずだけど、結構問題が多いというかいまいちうまく動かないことが多かったので標準環境というか出来るとはうたってはこなかった。
VineSeed の kernel-2.6.16 には suspend2-2.2.4 をいれてあり、これだともう少し多くのPCでハイバネーションできるようになっているような気がする。(smp なマシンでもいちおう大丈夫のようだ) どうすれば使えるかというのを書いてなかったような気がするので、とりあえずここでメモ。(あとでちゃんとドキュメントにまとめないと。。。)
準備。
- kernel-2.6.16-0vl7 を入れる
- kernel の boot パラメータに
resume2=swap:/dev/hda5 (hda5はswapパーティション)
があることを確認 - initrd を使っているなら mkinitrd-4.2.1.6-0vl5 で作る
- apt-get install hibernate suspend2-userui-fbsplash
- 一度 reboot する
もしうまくいかなかったらとりあえず以下の点をチェックするといいかも。
- バイナリドライバを使っていないか?
マイナーなドライバを使っていないか?
→ /etc/hibernate/blacklisted-modules に追加 - resume2 パラメータを設定したか
→ cat /proc/suspend2/resume2 を確認 - swap は十分か?
→ メモリの1.5倍くらいは必要
※ いまどきは suspend2 ではなくて userland software suspend なのではないかという話もあるけど、とりあえずいまのところ suspend2 のほうがちゃんと動く気がする。
